Jamaican Alex Powell Achieves “Another Podium Finish” in Italy – See Pics
Alex Powell, a native of Jamaica quickly rose through the ranks of Kart racing, showcasing remarkable speed and ambition. His decision in 2018 to compete in the highly competitive 60 Mini category in Europe, reserved for drivers under 13, marked a significant chapter in his career. Racing against a diverse field of nationalities in prestigious events, Alex has made a name for himself on the world stage.
Fast forward to 2024, Powell has continued to rack up impressive achievements with the latest being another podium finish over the weekend, this time in Italy at the Imola Circuit, officially called the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the track is a 4.909 km (3.050 mi) motor racing circuit.
Sunday morning, Powell who is a member of the Mercedes Benz AMG junior team took to Instagram to celebrate his latest achievement, he wrote, “Another podium finish at Misano 🙌 P2 overall and P1 Rookie 🤙 Now it’s time to take a little rest before getting back on track at Imola 🇮🇹.”
