10 People Shot at Bar in St. Andrew

As per reports, at least 10 people were shot early Wednesday morning at a bar along Shortwood Road in St. Andrew. As a result of the attack, one female died while nine others were admitted at the Kingston Public Hospital for their injuries.

As per the police, additional victims of the attack which took place at 12:20 am were also reportedly taken to the University of the West Indies Hospital for treatment.

“As many as 11 persons were possibly injured during the shooting. Nine went to KPH [Kingston Public Hospital] with gunshot wounds but we understand others were assisted to UWI hospital,” a senior officer told The Gleaner.

The identity of the victim remains undisclosed, and limited information is available as authorities continue their investigation.
