Bounty Killer Weighs In On Kartel’s Ongoing Case

As his former protégé and Alliance member Vybz Kartel continues to seek his freedom in the Jamaica Court of Appeal, Dancehall veteran Bounty Killer shared his thoughts on Tuesday about the ongoing case.
The Court of Appeal has been hearing submissions by the defence and prosecution in favour of and against a retrial for Kartel and his co-accused over the past few weeks. It was announced yesterday that the court’s decision would be handed down no later than July.
Reacting to a report of the announcement on his Instagram page, Bounty expressed that he has no fear of speaking on the case as he is a citizen of Jamaica. Speaking on the overturning of Kartel’s conviction by the Privy Council, Bounty said if he and his co-accused sentences were justified, their convictions would never have been quashed.
The Benz and Bimma deejay further expressed that the prosecution will not allow the men to simply walk free because they are too ashamed. “Retrial pon speed dial plus bail with no denial God in the midst,” he stated along with prayer emojis.
“It’s only two things can happen now is to schedule a retrial and grant them bail or let them go point blank period but we all know that they are too ashamed and embarrassed to make them walk free so imagine what a regular Jamaican would’ve to face🤐,” Bounty wrote.
Commenting on Bounty’s post, a fan expressed that Kartel should be freed without a retrial.
“vybz kartel don’t need no retrial. They need to free up the vybz kartel now He already spend a lot of time in prison already,” the fan wrote.
Bounty replied, stating that the authorities would never allow him to be freed that easily.
“They would die b4 just setting him walk free so although either ways he will be freed time and God trust the process 👏🏿,” Bounty wrote.
