A few hours after Vybz Kartel was released from prison in Kingston, his longtime musical rival Mavado took to social media to express happiness about the news.

Mavado shared one of the many photos that are now making rounds online from the scene at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Kingston. The photo shows Kartel walking alongside his partner Sidem Ozturk and friend Bright Light.
As a caption he wrote, “Freedom streets OG 
home to your family.”
Bounty Killer, Popcaan and many other Dancehall artistes posted online in support of the deejay on Wednesday. Drake also reacted to the news, stating, “BOSS FREE UO NOW!”
