Foota Hype Goes off on ‘Shameless’ Gaza Fans and Details How Him and Vybz Kartel Fallout

As with Mavado and several other Dancehall artiste’s careers, in his latest live chat, outspoken selector and online personality Foota Hype recounted several of his past experiences with Vybz Kartel, from the first time seeing the deejay to the last time talking to the Portmore artiste.

According to Foota Hype, he and Vybz Kartel are currently “neck and neck” for dominance on the internet as it relates to Jamaica. He also talked about the first time Bounty Killer called out Vybz Kartel on stage after refusing to call him up a prior night.

“If unuh memba good a full black him inna like Killa, the way him emilate Killa, some part a dem history yah Gaza fans nuh know cause it nuh deh pan nuh internet… unuh nuh see it pan nuh social media suh unuh nuh really know wah gwaan,” Said Foota Hype regards Vybz Kartel’s first major performance with Bounty Killer.

He next said, “Mi a general inna di sitt’n a me send Kartel a road Dancehall wide.” He stated that back in those days, artistes songs needed to play in the Dancehall for them to “Buss” and not just anytime in the night, the songs had to be played in prime time next to Bounty Killer, Elephant man, Sizzla, Beenie Man and others.

“If it nah get play inna the prime time, hungry kill yo, a mi do that, not Scrachy B, Scratchy B put yuh pan CD… Suh Gaza fans unuh fi have mannas when unuh a chat to me, a me help build it fi unuh, the wul thing weh unuh a run wid and it was not Gaza it was Badaline.”

He went on to highlight that Busy Signal caused Vybz Kartel to change the name from Badaline to Gaza after Shebada rose to province, saying that he’s on the Badaline.

At one point in the live stream, Foota Hype joked about MC Nuffy taking sides with Vybz Kartel against Sting, he also highlights that someone sent him a screenshot of MC Nuffy making several comments on one of Vybz Kartel’s posts and Vybz Kartel did not react to any of the comments.

Foota Hype declared that he can’t see Kartel’s post at the moment because he’s blocked from Kartel’s page.
