For his latest podcast published Thursday morning, American sprinter Justin Gatlin rocked a yellow Jamaican Jersey, he also played the song ‘Rum & Redbull’ as he revealed the iconic sprinting wear.
The reason Gatlin wore the Jamaican top, was because he lost a bet made with his co-host Rodney Green.
Notably, American sprinter Noah Lyles also rocked Jamaican sportswear months ago when he was in Jamaica with his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield while hanging out with Asafa Powell.
Gatlin wore the Jamaican attire on his Ready Set Go podcast in which he talks about the latest news and races in track and field across the world. The show usually focuses on the sprint events.
Months ago, Gatlin stated that he’s more popular in Jamaica than in America because Americans are not as big on track and field as the people on the island.

According to Gatlin, the jersey was given to him by Asafa Powell while on a visit to Jamaica.
As he unveiled the top, Gatlin played Beenie Man’s ‘Rum and Redbull’ Dancehall hit song, “somebody get him on the 4×100 boy,” said the co-host. On the other hand, Gatlin said, “Beenie if you watching man, check me out dawg.”
“I need a spot on the 4×100,” Gatlin also said.
Reacting to Gatlin’s Jamaican gear, one person commented, “That would have been hella 4x100m team if you had rep Jamaica in the prime Bolt, Blake, Asafa era…..probly looking at a 35 sec run.”
Another person said, “Loll! You wearing the colors well @justingatlin.”
