Mother of Child Involved in Portland School Bullying Incident Speaks Out: “Everybody si the video and them a run with it”

One of the parents whose child was involved in the now circulating video that shows three primary school boys from Portland involved in a bullying incident is speaking out in defence of her child who has been threatened since the incident.

During a phone call with a TikTok, the mother expressed that she’s not pleased with her son’s actions and she could not watch the video in its entirety. “It is very unacceptable for me, i cannot accept this from none of my kids, yuh understands, i am a mother, a mother, mi a nuh mumma,” the parent outlined.

“The end of the day, him wrong and mi can’t si nuh reason fi gi him right deh suh but there is something behind the video that i do not wish to publicise, and i did not know that there is something behind the video until the CDA had a meeting with him yesterday,” the mother said.

“Mi nah guh throw him under the truck, all i can do is seek counselling for his anger… this is coming from bigger child who used to bully him at the school.” She went on to highlight instances in which her son was also bullied at the same school.

“Everybody si the video and them a run with it, mi just let them talk, mi let them talk, because the whole world have perfect kids,” she said before the conversation ended.

Reacting to the mother, one Instagram user commented, “We soon affi tek justice in our own hands cause when dem beat and murder people children nothing na come out it,” another said, “Making excuses she’s apart of the problem smh.”
