Brook BK Debuts On iTunes Charts With ‘Toxic’, Talks Part 2

Press release – US-based Dancehall fusion artiste Brook BK has been making her presence known with the release of her viral track, ‘Toxic’. The project comes to us as a collaboration with 1 Traxs courtesy of Globis Music and was made available in June.

Since its release, the track managed to peak at 21 on the iTunes charts.

Already amassing tens of thousands of views on its official video, Brook details what inspired the song; “The inspiration behind this project was the harsh reality of toxic relationships so its relatability made it marketable. I live by the notion, everything done in the dark must one day come to light while making it clear that I understand that relationships are far from perfect, this adds a different layer of relatability to the track.”

Brook also explained the strategy used to market the project, “The strategy we used to put together this song and the visuals for this single was the cliffhanger strategy, we built up suspense throughout the visuals, and ended the video with a plot twist that left viewers wondering and wanting more”

She continued by adding; “The anticipation for part 2 of Toxic is at an all time high right now, we are considering dropping it at an unexpected time. Listeners have made the visuals of the song such a trending topic, that when they see the actresses in real life they are recognisable. The cliffhanger strategy that we used for Toxic made it a trending topic also causing some controversy in the media which helped the track significantly.”

“With my team fervently pushing the single, we are also gearing up for the release of my next single, ‘Spend Money’, dedicated to the ladies.” Since the ladies went through hurt in her last track, Brook BK has decided that this track will serve as a ‘bounce back’ track for the ladies.

She shares, “I have a team that I have been working with since the beginning to ensure that I receive the best results as an upcoming artist and with their guidance we intend to put out music that is unique but also connects with the target audience while taking advantage of social media, real time, promoting and networking. Dropping this track before moving on to part two of Toxic will grant us a more successful campaign based on our current success”

Stepping out on the scene with a blueprint, Brook BK says one of her main aims is to connect with women of various demographics through her music. She is slated to drop upcoming projects with Globis Music, Fuze as well as UK-based label Dreamrich Records in a bid to offer diversity in her sound and maximize territorial reach.

Other tracks from Brook BK include; ‘Karma’ and ‘Top Freak’ which have gone viral on creator platforms, racking up over 1M streams.
