The GoFundMe that was launched at the start of September by the wife of Lieutenant Stitchie, Sophia Laing has reeled in over $20,000 in donations as the family seeks assistance for the extensive rehabilitation care that’s needed for the veteran artiste.
The fundraising endeavour has a goal of 100,000, so far over 444 people have donated to the meaningful cause.
In an effort to get more donors, Bounty Killer raised awareness of the GoFundMe page by sharing it with his 900k followers on Instagram, as a caption for the post made Sunday night, he wrote, “For all whose interested in donating to Stitchie’s medical/recovery that’s his Gofund account God bless y’all🙏🏾🙏🏾.”
This push for more donations comes just days after Bounty, Shaggy and others partnered to donate #10,000 towards the artiste’s health care.
The Gospel Reggae artiste whose real name is Cleve Laing recently suffered a life-threatening brain haemorrhage and has been in a coma since, however, as per his wife, Stitchie has been showing signs of improvement in recent times by reacting to voices he knows and opening his eyes.
The witty deejay who has devoted the latter part of his life to God is best known for his hit songs ‘Wear Yuh Size,’ and ‘Fast and Pray’ is currently in a long-term care facility in the USA.
