Vybz Kartel Speaks on ‘Sting Postponed’ Situation

A video clip from Vybz Kartel’s interview with Winford Williams that is yet to be released in its entirety shows the deejay reacting to Sting show which was set for December 26 being postponed.

At first, he sought clarify on the ‘postponement’ news, alluding to if not now, then when?

After questioning that part, he highlighted that he was not happy to hear the news. “It unfortunate because a Sting that, woleep a giant forward outta Sting including Vybz Kartel… It was one a the show them the people a look forward to,” says Kartel.

He went on to rubbish claims that his Freedom Street Concert caused Sting to get less support. “Jamaica people love to party especially inna the festive season, so Kartel couldn’t do nothing to Sting and Sting couldn’t do nothing to Kartel… that’s how much Jamaica people love party.”

“It is an institution that Vybz Kartel come outta to,” said Kartel before revealing that he usually “pray as a likkle youth”, hoping to walk on Sting’s stage at some point in his career.

The full interview is scheduled to be released Saturday night.
