“This look like a coverup because them tell mi seh a one shot she get and when mi go examine her body last night mi si she get one shot inna har face above, above, between the end point a nose and her top lip,” said the mother in a TVJ report.

The grieving mother also reported that her daughter’s missing iPhone went online last night after her death.

Reports on Monday detail a 19-year-old woman, Jimoy Suckoo of Paradise in Westmoreland, being ‘accidentally’ fatally shot Sunday night in Clarendon by a policeman’s firearm.

Suckoo’s sister also questioned the circumstances that caused her sister’s dead. “No, i don’t think it’s an accident.. because mi sista get two shot… first of all, if gun go off weh the holster?” The sister also detailed that her family member got two shot and an accident would not cause her sister to be shot twice.

Reports indicate that Suckoo was with her boyfriend, a policeman assigned to the Specialised Operations Branch in May Pen. As per the police officer, the couple was getting dressed when the officer placed his service pistol on the bed beside her.

Moments later, an explosion was heard, and it was discovered that the weapon had discharged, striking Suckoo in the upper body.

Both, the mother and sister recalled meeting the policeman via a video call months ago.

In her plea, Jimoy’s mother requested that the relevant authorities get involved in the investigation, “I’m calling on the DPP, i’m calling on the JCF, i’m calling on the prime minister, i’m calling on the entire Jamaica… INDECOM every single body, my daughter was murdered cold-blooded at 19 years old.”

The May Pen Criminal Investigation Branch, the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s internal investigative arm, and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) have launched probes into the controversial shooting.
