Thieves Empty House in St. Catherine, “They took out even the toilet…”: Video Report

A distraught homeowner details how she drove past her home days ago because it did not look like the house she left in a St. Catherine area. According to the report, the thieves took everything, including her grills and front door.

The location was robbed twice over the past week, it was initially robbed between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, with thieves removing small appliances. The homeowner found out about the initial robbery and decided to replace the grill(s) on the housing unit. However, the robbers returned over the weekend.

“I drove past my house because I did not know it was my house,” she said while in tears.

“I cannot even cope knowing this is my house, it is very difficult even to get houses in Jamaica and to know that this is my house, how they did my house, even the grills are gone… Grills are to make the secure, can you believe they came in, removed all my grills from the doors and the windows.”

“They took out even the toilet, even the toilet they removed… They gone with my refrigerator, my stove my pots my plates, everything they gone with…. I have to start all over,” she said in the TVJ news report done by Kirk Wright .

The robbery took place at a location in Catherine Estate, located in Spanish Town and the female who suffered from the robbery is not the only one to suffer from such an endeavour in the community, as shown in the report, several other houses were burglarised and vandalised.
