Beenie Man Gives More Reasons why he’s the “1 Dancehall King” and Shows of his Many Awards

Beenie Man continues his claim to the ‘King of Dancehall’ throne on Thursday by making multiple social media posts to remind everyone why he believes he’s the reigning king of the genre.
As a caption for this first post on Thursday, he wrote, “WHAAA……AAT! A WEH DEM A DO.………😎
Throw back from 90s and still a Zaga all NOW ! 1 Dancehall King👑,” the post features several videos, each giving another reason to acknowledge his greatness.
One video features several trophies and awards, plus iconic photos, videos shared also showed off crowd reactions to his songs and performances. One of the clips features American radio personality EBRO calling Beenie Man the ‘King of Dancehall’.
Additionally, Beenie Man also shows a screenshot from an article from Billboard magazine calling him the ‘King of Dancehall’ in 2023, titling their article, “The King is Back: Beenie Man talks…”
In 2023, Beenie Man was the talk of the town as he promoted his ‘Simma’ Album. However, less than two years later, at the start of 2025, Billboard changed-tune, labelling Vybz Kartel the ‘King of Dancehall’. As per Billboard, Vybz Kartel had reclaimed his throne after his 13-year incarceration.
The posts from Beenie Man comes a day after he did his “first interview in 10 years in the US” with Nore on Drink Champs.
