While talking on the matter, Trooper got animated, highlighting that it was not the video of himself brandishing a gun nor his demeanour of speech that caused him to not be able to return to the USA until last year for his daughter’s funeral.

“A nuh freedom of speech mek mi lose my visa enuh,” Trooper said and went on to declare that his visa was taken away when the USA wanted ‘Dudus’. “A deh suh mi lose my visa enuh, five a wi visa them tek weh enuh, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Mavado, Aidonia and my visa,” the selector said.

He further highlights that he was requested to visit the US embassy about 13 years ago and to his surprise, they were mostly interested in asking him questions about Dudus and not the video that went viral of him with a gun in hand.

Trooper used Popcaan as an example, saying, “A lot of artiste weh deh a Jamaica have dah problem yah through the government… memba seh Popcaan guh suh bum enuh and guh a England enuh and when Popcaan reach a England enuh them detain him a nuh and when Popcaan a seh how unuh let me in and ray-ray?”

“Dem seh to the youth seh talk to the government, yo government a Jamaica cause this… but everybody friad fi talk, mi nuh fraid fi talk Kshema, dem can kill mi… A them gi wi name pan list to the embassy them.. the man dem fraid fi chat, mi nuh fraid fi chat… a that gwaan,” Trooper who is now 60 years old outlined.
