The U.S. (United States) National Hurricane Centre has reported that an area of disturbed weather has been recognized in the Main Development Region. A hurricane or tropical storm may develop within the coming week.

After Tropical Storm Debby, the next name on the list is Ernesto, and Jamaicans are being urged to be vigilant of changes in the weather.

The current seven-day cyclone formation chance is less than 40%.

The report, posted to Weather Jamaica on X, received many comments from Jamaicans who are apprehensive about the development of another storm.

Lishae said, “Bye me heart cyah manage,” Kelz stated, “Look here man Lord help us,” and another individual wrote, “Sigh… I believe this one will enter our space as a TS.”
