Aidonia’s Team Relays That “Absolutely No Interviews Will Be Granted”
A release was issued on Tuesday, December 5, that confirmed the death of Aidonia’s (born Sheldon Lawrence) son, nine-year-old khalif Lawrence. The management team for the family confirmed the day of death to be Saturday, December 3, after Khalif had been battling with cancer for three years.
The news first began to circulate about the artiste’s son’s death on various social media platforms, and condolences have since been pouring in from other dancehall celebrities, media personalities, and citizens of the country at large.
The release that was issued stated, “One of the most tragic events is the loss of a child and both Sheldon and his wife Kimberly Lawrence are grief stricken at the loss of their only child,” and that after being diagnosed with cancer back in August of 2019, the “brave nine-year-old” put up a good fight and spent his final moments in the arms of his parents who are now grieving a major loss.
Seeking privacy and solitude during this heart-rending time, it has been passed on by Aidonia’s team that they (Aidonia and his wife, Kimberly Megan) will not be taking part in any interview surrounding the death of their son. “Absolutely no interviews will be granted,” stated the message.
