Alandon Looks to Influence Dancehall, Drops “Tightest” Music Video

YARDHYPE recently had a question and answer session with US-based Jamaican male Dancehall artiste “Alandon” who recently released a Music video for his witty track titled “Tightest”. Currently, Alandon is working diligently to take a top place in the dancehall space. Learn about who he is, what his music is about and where he sees himself three years from now.

Q: Where Are You From?
ANSWER: I’m from Water house Jamaica Kingston 11.

Q: How long have you been doing music?
I’ve been doing music from a tender age my environment and my peers are what force me to start.

Q: What is your style of music?
My style of music is more hardcore dancehall with a fuse.

Q: What’s the favourite verse you wrote?
My favorite verse is on a song that I’m featured on off Dre island album now I rise, the name of the song is called run to me.

Q: Favorite Reggae Artiste?
My favorite reggae artist is Jesse Royal

Q: Favorite Reggae Artiste?
My dancehall artist is Vybz Kartel

Q: Which Reggae/Dancehall Artiste has been most influential in your musical career?
Vybz kartel has been the most influential in my musical career.

Q: What’s next (Any new Project, Music video/single)?
I have three full projects recorded & I have single’s for days plus I’m working on more visuals as we speak.

Q: What Keeps You grounded (Things you do to relax/chill)
Honestly, music and family keep me grounded but reading and smoking herbs are what really keeps me relax.

Q: What do you love the most about Jamaica?
What I love about Jamaica the most is the energy & climate

Q: How do you usually come about your lyrics, write/freestyle?
I recite my music in my head the lyrics come to me naturally so I always tell people I dnt write I recite.

My music team prefer to stay behind the scenes.

Q: What Are Your Views On The Current state of Dancehall And Reggae music?
I like where reggae music is at and where it’s going but as for dancehall in my opinion fuckery a run the place and it’s time for real music to forward again

Q: Where Do You See Your Self 3 years from now?
In three years I see myself stamping my name as one of Jamaica’s best musically
