The new single follows the release of his song Tek A Gyal, which premiered on YouTube on September 15 and is currently #23 on trending. A week after dropping the song, the deejay debuted Blanco on Sunday, and like Tek A Gyal, Blanco was produced by Autobamb Records in addition to A Jus Di Vybz.

The newly released track’s title and themes of living a lavish lifestyle were inspired by Colombian cocaine trafficker Griselda Blanco, who was also known as the Godmother of Cocaine. Blanco built a vast empire as a notorious Miami drug lord, and Alkaline features a collage of images depicting her on his song’s official visualiser.

The deejay also name-drops Blanco in the track as he entices his love interest with the prospect of wealth and the lavish lifestyle that they can have together.

“Gyal meck wi get rich. Guh round di world, wah yuh fetich? Shell it down; live like the wealthiest. Cross off the bucket; build a next list. Floss like Blanco, dem wah know how wi get dis. Yes, happiness money can buy,” Alkaline sings on the track.

Blanco has so far acquired over 69,000 views and 11,000 likes.
