Alkaline’s Father Laid to Rest in St. Andrew – Watch Video and See Photos

Following his passing last week, Earl Bartley, the father of dancehall artiste Earlan Bartley, professionally known as Alkaline, was laid to rest on Friday subsequent to his funeral service attended by his family and friends in Stony Hill, St. Andrew.

Bartley’s final sendoff was held at the Church of God of Prophecy. Garbed in black, Alkaline, who has not yet spoken publicly about Bartley’s passing, placed a rose on his father’s casket during today’s service.

His sister and manager, Kereena, who confirmed Bartley’s death earlier this week, previously conveyed that it was hard for her to express her brother’s current feelings during this difficult time.

Known fondly by the aliases “Rooster”, “Fada,” and “Specky,” Bartley passed away on July 12. He had just celebrated his 59th birthday a day earlier.

The details of Bartley’s death have not been revealed, but he had been suffering from ill health for some time. Kareena disclosed that he passed away peacefully among his loved ones.
