Ammunition seized and 3 Haitian Nationals among 5 Arrested

The Clarendon police carried out an operation recently and 547 rounds of assorted ammunition were found and seized in Maypen and 5 persons including 3 Haitians were arrested. A second operation was carried out at another location in the Parish and $Ja1.8million, US$401 and $Ca 5.

Residents in the parish and the police are breathing a sigh of relief, approximately 5 out of the 6 reported murders in the parish recently were done with guns.

There has always been reports of the guns for drugs trade or guns for meat trade between the criminals who are from Jamaica and Haiti.

The police have not reported that these men who were arrested are connected to the illegal trade.
