Andrew Holness and Mark Golding Took First Shot of Astra Zeneca vaccine
“Don’t takes chances with your life or your love ones life, get vaccinated ” states Opposition Leader Mark Golding shorting after taking a shot of the Astra Zeneca vaccine. Golding also pointed out that there is a lot of miss information on social media.
Mr. Golding then took to Instagram to make the following statement “I was invited by the GOJ to get my vaccine today. While I was reticent and preferred that the most vulnerable be vaccinated first, I know that as leaders we need to set an example. I think at a time when there is widespread skepticism we must do our best to encourage compliance with the protocols in place to keep us safe.”
On the other hand, Prime Minister Andrew Holness said “Take the vaccine when your time come” Holness’ wife Juliet Holness also took the vaccine.
The PM then took to social media to make the following statement “I am happy to have received my first dose of the COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine. The registration process was smooth and my experience was quite pleasant. Our goal is to ensure that when persons come to take the vaccine, it is done in an orderly manner and that the process is safe for all concerned”.
He continued “I want to assure the public that your Government is putting in the requisite measures to ensure the continued effective roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination programme”.

According to the Prime Minister, he did not get vaccinated because he did not want to send the “wrong signal”, further stating that the medicine at this time is being prioritised for those who need it.
