Another Police Shot Dead In Spanish Town

Another striking incident of police being shot to death has taken place after a recent streak of similar happenings.
This time at the unfortunate end of the gun was 59 years old Newton Bentley who was looking to retire very soon from the constabulary force.
According to the police the incident took place at a construction site at the location of the National Water commission sewage plant system in Innswood Village, Spanish Town where gunshots were heard coming from the area.
The incident was said to have happened at approximately 7 a.m on Wednesday.
After an investigation was done, Bentley’s body was found on-site with gunshot injuries laying in a puddle of blood. The news is also reporting that his licensed 9mm firearm was stolen in the bloody act.
Bentley was noted to have set his date of retirement to August after just resuming duties in March of this year after being suspended for perverting the court of justice.
He was freed from the charges as the court of appeal cleared them.
Investigations are currently ongoing to gain more information on what might have been the motive behind the killing.
