Persons who have recovered from the Coronavirus has antibodies that have built up in their blood, that can attack the virus, this could be the key to fighting the dangerous disease that has been killing so many persons. This is a new development that is quite promising.

Survivors feel very lucky and they think they should try to give back. They have no problem donating blood to assist in the fight against Covid-19.

Health professionals are also testing many persons to see if they have been infected and already built up antibodies even if they had little or no reaction to the virus.

After patients get the plasma treatment it takes a week or two to see a difference, but they are not totally sure that the plasma treatment is the only one that works.

One potential treatment uses the antibodies that have built up in the blood of recovered patients. These antibodies are used when plasma is separated to help infected patients.

This treatment may have worked to help a few persons in China and in the 1918 pandemic, this caused health professionals to believe in this treatment.

Antibody rich plasma might be the best treatment that healthcare professionals have at this time. It is not known for sure if the new treatment worked for the patients it was tried on before because they were getting other treatments as well.

There is a new test that delivers results much faster than before when patients waited for many days to get their results, this new test is helping more persons to know their results much faster so they can do what needs to be done to reduce the spread of the virus.
