Deputies arrived to find Hureleyon McLean, a retired bus driver and beloved family man, suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. According to authorities, McLean’s neighbour has been detained in connection with the shooting.

McLean’s grieving wife, Rose who sounds like a Jamaican, recounted the harrowing moments leading up to her husband’s death. The neighbor, upset over loud music, had reportedly rung their doorbell to leave a complaint. Shortly after, McLean went downstairs to speak with him. A single gunshot followed.

“I heard the gunshot, ‘boom,’ and I just ran to the door. I saw my husband lying face down in blood,” Rose tearfully shared. She described confronting the alleged shooter, who stood with a gun in hand. “He wasn’t sorry. He just looked at me and said if I didn’t shut my mouth, he would shoot me, too.”

McLean, a father of two grown sons and grandfather, had plans to celebrate Thanksgiving with loved ones.
