Beyonce and Rihanna are reigning at the top, as music’s supreme Royalty, and Forbes confirmed it recently. The publication revealed its ranking for the year, for the 100 most powerful women in the world. The women who took the world by storm were revealed in both politics and entertainment.
Rihanna, Beyonce and Taylor Swift were the only musicians on the list. They were in the 61st and the 66th slots. The Rih and Bae, have been leading diversity in fashion circles and making game changing moves, that were shifting culture as well, the dominated the Headlines all year.
In 2019 Beyonce was busy after the premiere of Disney’s CGI remake of the childhood classic “The Lion King” that was highly anticipated, and at the top of the year her revelatory Homecoming Netflix Documentary, with the voicing of the character Nala was big.
She executive produced the film’s companion album. “The Gift” which had hits such as “Brown Skin Girl” it spawned a viral challenge on social media.
Rihanna has expanded her Fenty empire, it includes beauty, lingerie and fashion. Even though she has not released new music for a while, Her Fenty X Savage Show and her ANTI album is still performing well 4 years after it was released. It spent a record breaking 200 weeks on the Billboard charts.
Fans are anxious to see what the two leading ladies will be coming out with in 2020.
