Bill Cosby Sentenced to 3-10 Years

Bill Cosby who was a very famous American actor, who was seen as America’s Dad for a long time was accused of sexually assaulting women. Persons had a hard time believing that this was true because the women had waited for a long time, before they came forward.

However, there is one case that he was convicted for as it happened in 2004. Andrea Constand accused him of sexually assaulting her at his home in Philadelphia. She was just one of the 60 women who accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them. He was eventually found guilty after a long trial and 5 months after that conviction he was sentenced to 3-10 years.

This is the first celebrity trial in the #MeTooera and the prosecutors asked for the 81-year-old Cosby to spend the time in prison, but the defense requested house arrest.

Mr. Cosby sat in a chair and rested his head on the head rest when the verdict was being read in the court.
