Black Queen To Release Debut EP
Reggae Dancehall singer Black Queen has decided to release a 7 track Debut Ep which will deliver messages of Self-love, hope, beauty and appreciation to her fans.
The Ep set to launch on the 30th of August will even feature a song entitled “Nobody knows my pain” tributed to the late Niko Chromatic who passed away in 2018 as a result of Kidney disease.
Black Queen who is properly known as Semonie Giles says while growing up she had no insecurities with regards to the colour of her skin, she saw the dark melanin as a mark of strength and empowerment even though many other female feels are insecure about it.
Through the project the singer hopes to change the perspective of music to one that sees people appreciating the beauty that’s within.
The project can be said to be of a spiritual nature as Black Queen says the messages from the songs encourage people to be in the company of positive people who believe in themselves.
She also mentioned that when people have love and respect for themselves is when they elevate.

Black Queen is well known for the song “Up ina yuh Jelly ” which previously got good rotation before she changed her style to a more modest type.
