As the Christmas period edges closer, unfortunately, two security guards won’t be able to celebrate with their loved ones. It is reported that the bodies of two security guards were found in the wee hours on December 12 at China Harbour Engineering Company’s compound, near St Catherine and St Andrew border at Ferry.
The body of one of the victims was found in the trunk of a motorcar, and the body of the other was found in bushes on the property. Their wounds seemed to be consistent with those caused by gunshots.
The St Andrew South Police Division’s operations officer, Deputy Superintendent Colerdige Minto, said assiduous efforts were being made to locate a third security guard. Preliminary investigations concluded that there was a third security guard on location at the time the incident took place.
In his statement, the Deputy Superintendent went on to explain, “The bodies of two security guards were found earlier this morning. The incident took place sometime after 11 p.m. (Sunday night). The Major Investigations Division is currently processing the scene. We are still searching for a third security officer who has been reported missing. We have so far located his radio and security vest, but we have not yet located him,” Minto told news the Jamaica Star.
