“Born Fi Dis” Tops Itunes Reggae
Today marks the release date of Vybz Kartel’s “Born Fi Dis” 12 tracks album and it’s already number one on the Itunes Reggae Chart with Spice’s album which was also released today, sitting at number two on the coveted chart.
Vybz Kartel’s surprise album ‘Born Fi Dis’ (Prelude) has stirred up quite a conversation on social media in just 1 week. Fans were shocked at the announcement but are highly anticipating what could be his most lyrical album to date.
Elements of the dancehall king Adijah Palmer, Addi, Di Teacha, and the Worl Boss, are all fused into one powerful sound. So far, the song that’s being listened to the most is the song titled “The Menace “. The lyrical track has racked up over 50k views already doubling the views on most of the other tracks, in the song he states, “Menace to society tru mi nuh live how dem wah mi fi live…. if yuh nuh see yo self as a god then wat the sense…”
He continued, “Hey Paula go sck a dick”. The line about “Paula” leaves many assuming that the “Worl’Boss” is taking aim at Paula Vanessa Llewellyn CD QC who is Jamaica’s director of public prosecutions and notably not a fan of Vybz Kartel.

To celebrate the iTunes success, the Gaza deejay took to social media and wrote, “#1 on @itunes reggae chart @hapilos @therealshortbossmuzik@aikopondibeat”. See some of the responses below.
