Briana Williams Stormed to a Big 60 M PB at Invitational Meet at National Stadium

Briana Williams the American born-Jamaican female sprinter who was nominated for both the Laureus Breakthrough of the year awards and the IAAF Female Rising Star stormed to a big 60m personal best at Queens Grace Jackson Invitational meet at the National Stadium on Saturday. 

She clocked 7.15 seconds to win her heat and improved on her previous best of 7.25 seconds. She continues her impressive start of the season.

The reigning IAAF world under 20 double sprint champion was shocked about the time, even though she prepared for it in training. She said the results has given her confidence as she looks towards the rest of the season for both the in-door and out-door season.

She will compete at the Milrose Games on February 8, 2020. 

She said her finish was getting a bit lazy, but that was what she was working on in the race.
