Buju Banton Releases New Song “Summer Body”

Buju Banton the Jamaican dancehall, reggae star released his new single, ‘Summer Body’ that is said to be “the anthem of the summer” by many dancehall fans. The song features a 90s hard-core dancehall riddim, produced by Buju himself and Lloyd ‘Jon Jon’ James Jr.

‘Summer Body’ reflects the mood of women who can’t wait to get back to the festivities they would enjoy before. In this new release, Buju calls out the females to change the way they are dressing now and get ready to enjoy the summer season, as they celebrate freedom after the lockdown.

One fan said the song reminded them of the old music that Buju did in the past and asked for more of this style, because it is missing from our music.

“Summer body gal tender, hot and ready” Buju Sings as he calls on the women to remove doubts, restrictions and start having fun again.

Banton’s last album was ‘Upside Down, which was released in 2020, it was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
