Buju Banton’s son Jahazeil Removes the “Myrie” Name

After initially falling out with Markus Myrie who went online to ask Donald Trump to take back his father, Buju Banton seems to be slowly but surely growing apart from his other kids based on recent happenings.

Previously we saw his daughters disagreeing with his public comments about “No mask” which subsequently sparked a disrespectful clash between one of his daughters and his Girlfriend on Twitter.

It all started when the Gargamel’s daughter who’s name is Abihail Myrie, tweeted in response to Buju’s no mask rant, telling everyone to wear their masks.

Now his other son Jahazeil Myrie has removed the “Myrie” part from his name and made the announcement online. According to the young reggae artiste who was initially inspired by his father, he wants a “fresh start” hence he is re-introducing himself as “Jahazeil” and outlines that he “will not be using Myire any more on any further release”. See the full statement below.

Earlier Jahazeil collaborated with his father Buju and brother Markus on a song titled “False Pretence”, which seemingly maybe their only work together that we’ll ever hear.

Markus who was active in dancehall, producing a lot of hit songs before his father was released has gone quite of recent and it was widely noted that Buju ordered him out of his studio after he returned home.
