Bunny Shaw Extends Deal With Nike

Jamaican Manchester City forward Khadija “Bunny” Shaw has extended her deal with top sports brand Nike.

Bunny Shaw revealed the deal extension on her Instagram account on March 02, 2023.

In one of the pictures posted, Shaw had a pen and what appeared to be contract papers in hand. She wore a green hoodie, black sweatpants, and black and green Nike shoes in the pictures. Additionally, she also wore a bright smile on her face.

It is easy to see that the footballer was happy to extend her deal and captioned the post with, “The journey continues. Few more years with @nike. Happy to be apart of the family.” She then tagged her agent @team.avsports.

In accordance, A&V Sports confirmed the signing with a post on their Instagram account. They wrote, “The story continues. @bun_bun10 x @nikefootball.” They then tagged @duncan_wright for the photo.

Noteworthy, Shaw became the first female player from Jamaica and the Caribbean to ink a deal with the renowned sportswear firm based in America in 2019.

The prolific striker scored 19 goals in 2018, the highest number of goals scored by a single player in qualifiers worldwide, to help the Jamaican team qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women World Cup. The spotlight has not been removed from the forward since. Consequently, Shaw signed a deal with Manchester City in June 2021. The prolific scorer has netted 14 times and assisted in 6 goals in City’s 2022-2023 campaign.

Khadija Monita “Bunny” Shaw was born in 1997 in Spanish Town, St Catherine. She represents Manchester City in the Barclay Women’s Super League in England and Jamaica Women’s Football Team (Reggae Girls) when on national duties. In total, Shaw has scored 56 goals for her country.
