Iconic reggae singer Capleton has revealed that haters have been targeting his life, and one of the attempts made included poison. The Who Dem singer made the revelation before ending his performance at Thursday Night Live, which was caught by vlogger Mouta Massi.
Recently, Capleton walked away with minor injuries after he reportedly lost control of his Mercedes Benz and crashed along the Cocoa Walk main road in St Thomas on the morning of August 9.
The Rastafarian artiste announced at the Red Stripe-sponsored event that there were several life-threatening incidents he had survived, giving the impression that the accident might have been another attempt on his life.
“Dem try send mi gaw prison, it nuh work,” he said. “Dem put common pin inna mi food with copper, it not even work. Dem try fi poison mi how much time, it still nuh work.”
He added that his foes even paid someone to assassinate him while stating, “gunman couldn’t shoot mi… a good over evil.”
“Mek mi tell yuh dis, see wah dem try again,” Capleton said later.
Capleton then broke out into his song, Jah Protect Us, singing, “Rastafari never let us down… Jah protect us from the enemy.”
