Cardi B Drops Music Video For Single “Hot Shit” Ft. Lil Durk And YE

Rapper Cardi B has dropped the highly anticipated video for her recent single Hot Shit. The song featuring Lil Durk and Kanye West is her first solo release of 2022 after being featured on multiple tracks with other R&B and Hip Hop artists. Hot Shit is expected to be one of the singles on Cardi’s yet-to-be-named upcoming album, which she has told fans will be released this year.

Since the single’s release nearly two weeks ago it has remained on the Billboards Hot 100 list and is currently number 13. The track has also garnered much popularity on TikTok with fans of the song creating choreography to go along with it. Cardi B has shared several of the TikToks on her Instagram while teasing last night’s release of the official music video.

The video was directed by 35-year-old Russian-born writer, music video and film director Lado Kvataniya and shows Cardi B in a futuristic world. We are taken across multiple environments that appear almost apocalyptic, with Lil Durk rapping his verse in a flooded city atop a broken car, then on a golden statue with Cardi in a lightning-filled desert wasteland.

Notably, The “It’s Electric” tag was used by Cardi B in this new song which was originated in Marcia Griffiths’ 1990 hit song titled “Electric Boogie”.
