Cardi B Slams Madonna for Apparently Insulting Her – See Photos
American rapper Cardi B, known for going toe-to-toe with anyone who speaks ill of her, slammed the Queen of Pop Madonna for making remarks that rubbed her the wrong way. The Bodak Yellow artiste made several tweets reacting to a message Madonna left on Instagram. A statement was posted to the pop icon’s IG Stories, where she celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of her notorious “S.E.X.” book and made it clear that she paved the way for contemporary entertainers to embrace their sexualities. While she apparently made a snide remark, Madonna indicated that she felt unappreciated and named three particular artistes who benefited from her endeavours, one of which was Cardi B.
“30 years ago I published a book called S.E.X. in addition to photos of me naked there were photos of Men kissing Men, Woman kissing Woman and Me kissing everyone,” She began. She subsequently pointed out that she had also spoken about her sexual fantasies and shared her perspective on sexuality. For a few years following her book, she was interviewed by “narrow minded people,” who tried to shame her for being so openly sexual and called her “a whore, a witch a heretic and the devil.”
Nevertheless, her book impacted pop culture, and “Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked ass and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball.” Concluding her message, she wrote, “You’re welcome bitches …..🤡”
Not taking kindly to Madonna’s choice of words, Cardi B went on a Twitter rant. Cardi stated that she had paid homage to Madonna on several occasions because she grew up listening to her music, and added, “These icons really become disappointments once u make it in the industry that’s why I keep to myself.” Cardi received backlash for going at the pop legend, but Twitter users came to her defence, pointing out the tone of the message Madonna wrote.
A few hours after Cardi had spent some time defending herself, she returned with what appeared to be a change of heart. According to the update, the Press rapper and the Material Girl singer talked, and things seemed to be okay between the two once more. Cardi has since deleted some of her tweets.
