Chi Ching Ching in Legal Hot Water after Breaching Firearms Act
Dancehall artiste Chi Ching Ching, born Radion Beckford was charged after violating his firearms license terms.
According to the Portland police, the incident occurred during a routine traffic stop on the San San main road last Wednesday in the parish.
Beckford disclosed possession of a firearm and ammunition during the operation.
The 41-year-old ‘Roast or Frie’ artiste was charged following an incident in Portland last Wednesday. Portland police stopped Beckford while he was driving a Toyota Rav 4 during a police vehicular checkpoint operation.
Although granted a firearms certificate on March 2, 2023, his license expired on September 19, 2023.
He reportedly had a Glock pistol with 50 rounds. Authorities seized the firearm.
A court date is being determined.
Chi Ching Ching is best known for songs such as ‘Way Up Stay Up’, ‘Roast or Frie’, ‘Rock Di World‘ and his latest viral track ‘Vaccine‘. He is also known to be a close associate of Popcaan and Sean Paul.
