Child and Parents Killed in MoBay Accident
According to reports, a 40-year-old and his 39-year-old common-law wife along with their 2-year-old baby were killed after the vehicle they were traveling in got out of control and slammed into a tree.
The Jamaica Gleaner reported that the couple was traveling from their home in Montego Bay towards Lilliput. The vehicle was traveling along the Rose Hall main road when the driver tried to evade a pool of water settled in the road however lost control after doing so.
The vehicle went off the road onto a lawn and then into a tree.
Dead are taxi operator Mark Brown, domestic helper Tangria Grant and their baby Jamara Brown who reportedly flew through the window up on impact.
The two adults were trapped in the vehicle after impact. The accident took place around 10 pm on Tuesday.
Since the start of 2020 a total of 19 crashes have been reported with a total of 21 deaths in the parish of St. James.
