Chronic Law Has 5 Unreleased Albums in His Catalogue

Akeem Campbell, professionally known as Chronic Law, is hot on YouTube’s trending chart, with three of his songs trending consecutively. At #3, Chronic Law’s Walk With Faith music video takes the spot, followed by his Scars From War music video at #4, and at #5 is his Legend music video. His consistency is evident in his music, as he released five songs last week.

The dancehall artiste has revealed that he is working on releasing more songs, aiming to make space in his catalogue for new music. Explaining that his experiences and writing are now different, he told the Jamaica Star that his focus is on himself, his family, and a few friends, along with elevating his career. Chronic Law, who describes himself as “focused and growing,” is considered a clever lyricist with a poetic flow. He is also versatile enough to dominate any beat that he takes on.

His music, which he said mirrors his life, is presented in a story-like format that listeners can find relatable. The Still A Bleed artiste, who has a growing local and international fanbase, stated that he has been writing his songs alone since he was a seventh-grade student at Morant Bay High. Furthermore, his songs depict his life, having “reality elements and meaning” to him. Hence, fiction is rarely present in his music.

The “Law Boss” deejay rose to popularity in 2018, and the songs that blasted him off to stardom were Hill Top Badness, Hillside and Government. He subsequently became a household name, and now he is sitting on five unreleased albums, one of which is upcoming. He told the media, “It’s just choosing which and when; ‘member, I said I’m getting things out, clearing tings up.” His hardcore dancehall style is evident in his rugged appearance, and his music indicates that he thinks highly of independence, morals, and protecting one’s space and peace.

For the Still Living artiste, his days are “balanced, with music, joke and kush.” Additionally, he overcomes bad days with faith, hope, prayer, music, meditation, and more kush. His future goals are to interact with his audience by doing more interviews. He also aims to give back to his home parish, St Thomas, for its development.
