Jamaica’s premier Reggae and Dancehall festival, Reggae Sumfest will be making its return on July 18-23, after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event is scheduled to be held at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay and will feature live performances from some of the most sought-after entertainers in Jamaica.
The 2022 staging is dubbed “The Return” and patrons can expect an energy-packed, eventful experience with the lineup for the first night of performances to begin on July 22 and end the following night. Both nights will see appearances from the trending hitmakers in Dancehall and Reggae to date.
Booked to headline the event on July 22 is the Grammy-nominated artiste Spice along with Alkaline, Masicka, Shenseea, Aidonia, Govana, Intence, and Teejay.
Dubbed “The Biggest Reggae Festival”, the event will kickstart on July 18 with a Sumfest Street Dance followed by a Sumfest All-White on July 19, Sumfest Blitz on July 20 and the Sumfest Global Sound Clash on July 21.
