Jamaica scored 10 goals in the group stage which is the most goals ever scored by Jamaica in the group stage of a major competition, scoring 5 goals in one match was also the first for Jamaica in the Gold Cup.

Coach Hallgrimsson was asked about the second-place finish in the group to which he replied stating that at half-time, during discussions, the team decided to try to outscore USA in the group by winning “big”, despite stating earlier that the team was not interested in the top place finished but more so on progressing in the competition.

Hallgrimsson was also asked about knowing his best eleven and Deshawn Bernard’s impressive performance which was capped with a well-crafted goal.
