Cocoa Tea: Associate Gives Latest News On The Reggae Artiste

After death rumours and much concern about iconic Reggae artiste Cocoa Tea‘s well-being, an associate of the veteran artiste shares some positive news about his health status on Friday, January 26, 2024.
Amidst the passed-away rumours, the wife of the entertainer set the record straight and rubbished such claims in early January. According to his wife Malvia Scott, Cocoa Tea “is very much alive.”
However, the Reggae world has been yearning for more info surrounding the ‘Tune In’ singer.
The latest update is from @worldareggae on Instagram, in the form of an audio message from @gussieclarkeja, the caption to the post reads, “We just got some amazing news from legendary producer @gussieclarkeja about the health of @cocoa_tea13 . The voice in this post is the voice of Mr. Clarke, used with his consent. #reggae #jamaica #cocoatea”
According to Clarke, he got a call from Coca Tea on Friday and in the call, “he sounds good, he sounds well… appreciates the love… him seh him good and we talk fi about 10 minutes and he’s alive, he’s well and him don’t sound as down as people mek it seem…” Clarke went on to detail more on his feelings about the call and wanting to “spread the word”.

Cocoa Tea, born in Rocky Point, Clarendon, rose to stardom in the late 80s and early 90s. The singer has produced countless hits in the reggae space, including, Holy Mount Zion, Young Lover, Rikers Island, Barack Obama, She Loves Me Now and Tune In to name a few.
