The information was sent out by King’s House in a tweet, where they advised that several persons have been tested positive for the virus and to establish contact tracing and more testing by the Ministry Of Health, the Governor General’s Office will be closed out.

King’s House did express regret for the inconvenience and advised the public that the office will be reopened as soon as the Ministry Of Health gives the go-ahead to do so.

This news comes just a few days after Jamaica recorded four days in which the viral infections superseded 1000, and in a time when the new Omicron variant of the Coronavirus is said to have reached the island.

On Friday, Jamaica passed the 100k mark for positive cases since the virus has made a landmark in Jamaica.
