Prime Minister Andrew Holness has released information in a Covid-19 press release, about the updated curfew time starting on March 1, 2021.
According to Mr Holness, the new curfew date will begin on the said date from 8 pm to 5 am and will end on March 23, 2021.
He also gave an update regarding the closing hours for attraction sites, zoos, parks and gyms, letting it known that as of March 1st the shut-off time for these areas will be 6 pm up until the 21st of March.
Prime Minister Holness also declared that only sitting the Csec, Cape or Pep examinations will be allowed to commune in a face to face class setting.
Already there have been many complaints about the restrictive curfew hours, as many residents have stated that the window time between them coming off from work and heading home gives them no time to shop and get emergency items for their family while some have said it makes the crowd situations worse.
Entertainers in the music industry have personally spoken out against the curfew hours, as well as many others however, the Prime Minister has accepted no forms of negotiations where the timing is concerned.
