Dancehall artiste Jquan was featured on Sharkies Seafood Festival 2024, however, his performance was cut short due to a verbal altercation between himself and members of the Ruff-Kutt band.
The synergy between the backing-band and the young Dancehall artiste was off from the get-go, with the artiste telling the band to change the riddim they had started out the performance with.
“Unuh a ramp wid the riddim too much fada.. wah unuh a duh fada… tun up mi riddim please, i am being very respectful.. Mi nuh even wah seh the wrong thing up yah suh enuh… stop ramp wid mi bombocl**t thing dawg, a waapen to unuh youth,” are some of the words mentioned to the band by Jquan.
After the artiste hurled several insults at the band, the beat stopped, with the leader of the band, Drummy calling out the artiste for not attending rehearsal. “Who is you… forward a rehearsal pu**y… gwaan work,” are some of the words said to the artiste by Drummy and his band members.
The artiste left the stage moments later and disses were traded between the crew members of each side.
The event was staged at Sharkies, located in Runaway Bay, St. Ann.
Notably, fellow young artiste Pablo YG had a stand-off with his backing band, months ago, an incident that also went viral.
