Jamaican dancer, Dancing Rebel has continued to live up to her name and was embroiled in a fight with a male partygoer at the Sandz Caribbean Music Festival.
The Sandz Music Festival was staged on Sunday, and partygoers flocked to the New Year’s Day event to watch performances by a number of artistes, such as Jahshii, Teejay, Shaggy, and Aidonia, who made his first public appearance since the death of his son a month ago. Rebel shared several videos in her Instagram Stories of her garbed in a bedazzled, crystal-encrusted swimsuit as she enjoyed performances from Skeng, Queenie and Bayka.
However, the evening took a negative turn in the midst of Aidonia’s performance on stage. In the footage of the incident, Rebel and a male partygoer are seemingly involved in an intense disagreement, and other patrons attempted to separate the pair. But Rebel confronts the man, and the scene quickly turns chaotic, with Rebel lost in a mass of people fighting and arming themselves with chairs and tables.
As patrons begin to throw objects, Aidonia’s performance abruptly stops as the deejay attempts to calm down the crowd, but he too soon becomes enraged by the antics of the patrons. The police soon intervene, surrounding the male patron with whom Rebel was arguing, but the dancer is not seen in the remainder of the video.
However, the night appeared to have ended on a positive note for Rebel, with the dancer sharing clips of her and friends enjoying a party at the Marketplace Entertainment Centre for the Arts (MECA).
