Decapitated Body Found in St. Catherine

Under the ongoing State of Emergency (SOE) in the parish, a lifeless body with a missing head was found in St. Catherine early Monday morning. The SOE is scheduled to come to a close at midnight on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) received a call on the morning of November 28, from the residents of Eltham Park in Spanish Town. When they made it to the scene, the decapitated body of a male was found.
The severed head was nowhere to be seen even though the authorities did a thorough search of the area, collecting evidence. The unidentified man’s body, which was covered and wrapped in a tarpaulin, was extracted from the scene and later deposited at the morgue.
When compared to November 2021, the St. Catherine North Police Division has registered a 51.2 percent increase in murders for the same period in 2022, with a record of 44 more killings in that month than the previous year.
