Deer Hunter Accidentally Dies From His Shotgun In Portland

David Watkins, a 54-year-old man of Brandon Hill, St. James was allegedly shot and killed with his shotgun that accidentally went off after a slip and fall.

Reports arising from this incident are that Watkins was with a group of deer hunters in Hope Bay, Portland on Sunday, April 3 at approximately 7 a.m. when his licensed firearm shot him in his side after falling.

This tragedy was confirmed by a representative of the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) who stated that Watkins was rushed to Port Antonio for treatment but was pronounced dead.

The police are treating his death as a death by misadventure.
