Defendant Gets Attacked by Fellow Inmates During Zoom Trial – Watch Video

Video footage of a bizarre incident that took place inside a jail was captured on camera after a defendant sat down to his virtual trial via a Zoom call.
The short clip, less than 15 seconds long, shows the defendant, a judge, and what may have been two lawyers sitting in front of their devices talking about the trial at hand. While the judge was speaking with his head down, fellow inmates of the defendant barged into the room the defendant was in and started hitting him and dragging him out of the room.
Noticing the spectacle, the female lawyer said, “Your honour, I don’t know what’s going on in the jail right now. It looks like somebody just went in and started beating up the defendant,” which caused the male lawyer to look up and question, “Oh, yes, yes, yes. Yes, where are the officers?”
