Regarded as Jamaica’s male ‘sex symbol’ in the entertainment industry where he is popularly known for serenading the ladies, Dexta Daps has created a name for himself that has taken the sexualization of dancehall music to another level.
But, in a viral clip, when the ‘Owna‘ singjay was performing at the Rebel Nightclub in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday night, he showed his female fans his serious side when he stopped midway through his performance to issue a stern warning.
With his fingers pointing to the crowd, Daps warned the audience that his face was off limits when it came to them throwing underwear on the stage. “Mind how unu a throw unu bloodcl**t draws ina me face!” he cautioned.
With echoes of laughter in the background, this comment from the entertainer might have seemed comedic coming from him who is known for his exotic shenanigans with the ladies while performing.
One woman is heard shouting, “A u sing bout draws so tek it!”
One such incident occurred in 2022 which may have led the entertainer to issue this warning. At a concert in Grand Cayman, while Daps was performing, a woman jumped on the stage and unsuccessfully tried to place her underwear on the entertainer’s head.
